About This Quarry
Historic marble quarries in the Upper Brembana Valley, municipality of Camerata Cornello in the Bergamo province of Italy's Orobie Alps. Produces the distinctive Arabescato Orobico marble with dramatic grey veining on white background. Has been quarried for over a century and used in prestigious works including St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Major operators include Cave Gamba (since 1965) and Marmi Orobici Graniti S.p.A.
